Learn to Saw™ with Thomas Mann in May & July
In the 3 hour Learn to Saw™ class, Thomas Mann delivers a succinct understanding of one of the primary tools of metalsmithing and guarantees students will be sawing like champs in under three hours. Students will learn what it takes to saw precise designs out of everything from paper to steel and will leave with several finished jewelry charms and mini slot-sculptures from their sawing experience.

Visting Artist Richard Salley in June
Would you ever imagine that you could make a necklace out of a Snapple bottle top? One of the things that master found object jeweler Richard Salley enjoys most about working in the genre of “found object jewelry” is to take something that we see (or regard as trash) on a daily basis and incorporate it into a piece of wearable art. Whether you are an experienced jeweler or looking for your first class in jewelry making, you’ll learn a wealth of tips, tricks and techniques in his 1-day Found Object Pendant and 2-day Locket Cuff workshops. No skills are necessary for 1-day pendant. Sawing skills necessary for 2-day Locket Cuff.

Intermediate Sawing & Soldering Workshops with Thomas Mann in July
Tom has two 2-day workshops scheduled in the month of July for students that want to seriously build their chops in sawing, cold connecting and soldering as they work towards the creation of several cool jewelry & sculptural objects. Some experience with sawing, cold connecting and soldering is required but you don’t have to be a pro.

For complete details on all of these workshops visit or call 504-581-2111.
