The Art of Woman: A sculptural odyssey in bronze

View Images

Critically-acclaimed sculptor of public artwork and award-winning Mardi Gras parades, Thomas Randolph Morrison presents “The Art of Woman: A sculptural odyssey in bronze.” This permanent public exhibit of gorgeous original new sculptures will be located at St. Vincent’s Guest House, 1507 Magazine Street.

After three years of hard work and dedication, Morrison is displaying these fascinating sculptures in the public eye. Using classical sculpture technique and lost wax casting process, Morrison has created beautifully mysterious sculptures of goddesses and heroines of classic antiquity, such as Nyx, the goddess of night; Penelope, the heroic wife of Ulysses; and Kore, the Queen of the Underworld. With exquisite detail and excellent craftsmanship, each of Morrison’s works is a sight to be seen. Come out to St. Vincent’s Guest House to explore these incredible works of art. Free and open to the public.

“Morrison is the New Orleans figurative sculptor whose sensual figures and traditional float designs transformed the Krewe of Hermes into the city’s leading art parade. His public sculptures can be seen at Harrah’s Casino, the Children’s Hospital, the Audubon Nature Institute and now The Art of Woman exhibit at the historic St. Vincent’s Guest House. Morrison has been sculpting figurative commissions for fine art collectors, fine artists, public art projects, feature films and major tourist attractions for over twenty years.”
