LEH Media Series – Panel #5: African-American Voices in Local Media

December 1st, at 7PM, the LEH concluded “The New Orleans Media: A Series of Panel Discussions on the Fourth Estate in the City.” The fifth installment, “African-American Voices in Local Media,” featured reporter David Thaddeus Baker of Louisiana Weekly and WBOK-AM program director and morning show host Gerod Stevens, moderated by Warren Bell, former news anchor and current Vice-President at Xavier University.

The discussion focused on the rich history of African-American media in New Orleans and the evolving role of African-American journalists and news outlets in today’s city.
