David Dillard has over twenty-three years of experience as an architect, with special expertise in renovation/restoration design, historic materials and forensic investigations. He also enjoys work as a historic lime plaster consultant.

In 2007, he was awarded his Masters in Preservation Studies, from the Department of Historic Preservation at Tulane University. His Bachelors was received from the Mississippi State University School of Architecture.
Presently, he is the principal architect of Dillard Design and a member of the Vieux Carre’ Commission Architectural Review Committee, promoting the preservation of New Orleans’ historic architecture and neighborhoods by review of all new construction. He is licensed in Louisiana, Mississippi and Florida, certified by NCARB and is a Professional Member of the American Institute of Architects. He is also active in ICOMOS, an international organization dedicated to the conservation of the world’s historic monuments and sites, the National Trust for Historic Preservation and American Mensa Society
