In the heart of the Frenchmen Street “music district,” d.b.a. is a very hip-but not trendy-bar that offers off-the-cuff music geared towards local music lovers. The building dates back to the 1880’s, & musicians say the all cypress wood music room is one of the warmest sounding rooms in New Orleans. This venue feature live music nightly.

d.b.a. presents some of New Orleans and the region’s greatest musicians. Past appearances on the d.b.a. stage include greats such as Clarence “Gatemouth” Brown, David “Honeyboy” Edwards, Jimmy Buffet and Stevie Wonder.

When in New Orleans, get away from the tourist traps of Bourbon Street and head down to the “Marigny”, just downriver from the French Quarter, voted w/Williamsburg, Brooklyn and the Inner Mission in San Francisco as one of the hippest neighborhoods in the country.

You’ll be glad you did. Open @ 5pm Monday-Thursday, 4pm Friday-Sunday…..d.b.a. closes in the wee-wee hours.
