Today is World Alzheimer’s Day
September 21st, 2010
In observance of World Alzheimer’s Day, Alzheimer’s Disease International (ADI) has released its annual World Alzheimer’s Report 2010 to raise awareness about the global financial burden posed by dementia, which tops more than $600 billion. ADI’s report includes a call to action to all governments to recognize dementia as a health priority by investing more in research, prevention programs, and care for the millions of people who will get the disease in the coming decades. Read more about the financial ramifications of dementia or click here to show your support for Alzheimer’s research by participating in an Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk in your area.
