New Child Car Seat Guidelines Announced
March 22nd, 2011
The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) has issued new guidelines for child safety seats. Children should now ride in rear-facing car seats until they are 2 years old or until they exceed the height or weight limit for the car seat (found on the back of the seat). Other recommendations include securing children in a booster seat until their height reaches 4 feet 9 inches, and children 12 or under should always ride in the back seat. Read more about the AAP’s new guidelines, and be sure to watch the video demo for proper car seat usage.
