'Generation LA' opens at NOPA gallery on Saturday

“Generation LA,” a new exhibit that features work from emerging Louisiana photographers and graduate students, will open on Saturday, July 9, at the New Orleans Photo Alliance gallery. The exhibit will run through Sunday, Sept. 18.
An opening reception for the exhibit will be held on Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. It will take place at the NOPA gallery, located at 1111 St. Mary Street in the Lower Garden District of New Orleans.
The photographers with featured work include Shannon Kolvitz, who recently completed his Master of Fine Arts in photography at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.
The other photographers with featured work include NOPA members Joli Livaudais Grisham, who is working on an MFA at Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, and Kelly C. Tate, a graduate student LSU who will receive her MFA this summer.
