Jazz Fest Announces 2012 Lineup

Arts & Entertainment, Business & Economy, Travel

December 14th, 2011

Merry Christmas music lovers! New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival announced the 2012 lineup. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers leads the pack along with Eagles and Foo Fighters. We are just as excited about Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, Iron and Wine, Herbie Hancock and his Band and My Morning Jacket. Hopefully there will be a My Morning Jacket / Preservation Hall Jazz band collaboration again – that is one amazing combo. Will Supa Saint make it on stage with Zebra? Who will sit in with Ani DiFranco? Who will be shaking it at the Bounce Shake Down featuring Big Freedia, Katey Red, Keedy Black, and DJ Poppa? We can not wait to find out!

Jazz Fest offers local musicians a chance to broaden their audience. Don’t miss out on the local talent. The New Orleans Bingo! Show, Honey Island Swamp Band, Ivan Neville’s Dumpstaphunk, Walter “Wolfman” Washington and the Roadmasters, Big Sam’s Funky Nation, Voice of the Wetlands Allstars and Big Chief Monk Boudreaux & the Golden Eagles Mardi Gras Indians to name a few.
