Resource Center of New Orleans (PRC)
For 37 years, the PRC
has been a major force in preserving New Orleans’ cherished architecture and
neighborhoods. Since Hurricane
Katrina, the PRC has completed restoration projects valued at more than $10
million, including the completion of 371 homes, with 73 in progress. The PRC has also established a
deconstruction program, which spearheaded a salvage store that is a New Orleans
favorite for individuals working on a renovation project.
House Tour –
Join the PRC on a self-guided
tour of some of the most charming shotgun houses in the historic Faubourg St.
John neighborhood. The Shotgun House Tour is supported by the Louisiana
Landmarks Society and includes a self-guided tour of the Pitot House on
beautiful Bayou St. John.
tour is part of Shotgun House Month, featuring an art activity at New Orleans
Museum of Art, an historic renovations how-to lecture series and a visit to an
historic corner store during Renovators Happy Hour.

of the tour, tickets may be purchased at the headquarters at Pitot House.
