Krewe of Kolossos July 4th Boat Parade Bayou St John

A parade unlike any other that has ever rolled in New Orleans is in the works.
We hope you will join us in celebration of Freedom this July 4th as we present our boat parade.
We will be launching from Orleans Avenue and Bayou St. John at 5pm and returning around 8:30.
Attendees are encouraged to enjoy an afterparty at Bayou Beer Garden.
All are welcome to participate for free.
We will be giving out prizes for creativity in costumes and crafts.
Here are some important things to consider if you will be attending:
-Please do not bring anything to throw from your boat as the bayou is a delicate ecosystem.
-Many bridges are quite short along the route so please do not bring boats taller than canoes.
-No motors are permitted on the Bayou.
-Please respect the residents of Bayou St John with your choices in parking and behavior.
-Bayou Kayaks will be there to rent out single person kayaks for around $20.
-If you would like to have a seat in a Krewe boat that will hold 4 plus coolers, please go towww.kolossos.org and reserve by paying $20.
-If you want to be in a boat with your friends, please let us know when you purchase your seat.
-Children under 16 must wear life-jackets, our Krewe does not own any.
