Whether you reside in New Orleans or have vacationed there, chances are that you have seen “Uncle” Lionel Batiste charming the ladies, walking down Frenchmen Street or playing his drum with the Treme Brass Band. He had smiles and kind words for everyone he came in contact with and was inarguably one of the finest dressed musicians in New Orleans. His presence in our daily lives will be dearly missed.
Uncle Lionel may be gone, but he will NEVER be forgotten.
