The New Orleans Coalition on Open Governance (NOCOG), in partnership with the Foundation for Louisiana, GNO Inc. and Loyola University School of Mass Communications, hosted a Public Forum on Journalism in New Orleans on Wednesday, August, 2012 at Loyola University. This public forum, which was simulcast live onTheLensNola.org, included a panel of national media researchers and practitioners discussing broad new trends in journalism followed up by an invitation to audience members to discuss their needs and concerns regarding the kinds of news and information they want to see local journalism prioritize going forward.
