Presented by the Arts Council of New Orleans, Bevolo Lighting and Starr Textile Services featuring more than 60 Royal Street galleries and merchants
Dirty Linen Night was created 11 years ago by artist Tracy Thomson as a grassroots effort to bring visitors to Royal Street during the typically slow summer season. To this day, it remains a free event that truly belongs to the artists. This group of artist-owned galleries and studios is a great asset to the City of New Orleans, especially as no other arts district can boast so many working artists onsite, ready to meet the public on a daily basis. Dirty Linen Night has become one of New Orleans’ premiere summer events and is a longtime favorite for both locals and visitors alike.
