Technology played a huge roll in the sharing and passing of information throughout the New Orleans community the past few days through Isaac’s stay and will continue through the recovery efforts. Way to go Mayor Mitch Landrieu and staff. NOLAready was a huge asset and will continue to be until New Orleans is completely back to “normal”.

Citizens are encouraged to sign up for email and text message alerts by going to http://new.nola.gov/readyThis service allows city officials to contact citizens during emergencies, which includes life-threatening weather events, evacuation or shelter in place information, and other pertinent emergency information. In addition to the website, the City operates a twitter handle: @nolaready.
