AK-47 found and Officer down at 3900 Perrier

As reported on Facebook by Project Nola, AK-47s were found on suspects at 3900 block of Perrier. An officer is down and 2 of 3 suspects have been apprehended.

NOPD ADVISES THAT MULTIPLE SUSPECTS ARE APPARENTLY STILL AT LARGE, AND THAT ONLY ONE SUSPECT HAS BEEN APPREHENDED. UNITS ARE STILL UNSURE ABOUT HOW MANY PERPS HAVE BEEN APPREHENDED.

NOPD NOW REPORTING THAT THEY BELIEVE TO HAVE ALL THREE PERPS. THE LAST ONE WAS APPREHENDED AT 3936 PRYTANIA. PERIMETER NOW BEING LIFTED, AREA CLEAR, RANK GOING TO TULANE MEDICAL CENTER TO CHECK CONDITION OF INJURED OFFICER.
COMMENTS
There was no gunfire. Officer was in his cruiser when they tried to effect a stop on suspects. Suspects then rammed into cruiser before fleeing on foot. Two guns were retrieved one of them was an AK-47.
