Still Lives

A while back at the Metropolitan Museum, there was an interesting show on the Italian Painter Giorgio Morandi (1890 – 1964) who throughout his career repeatedly depicted the exact same bottles and vases in paintings compelling to look at for their unique display of compositional balance, tone, and color.
This decorative idea could work well in a New Orleans home providing a corner of quietude and respite from all the festivities outside…
